This workshop is highly interactive, great fun, and shows students how to use different learning tools to help them remember facts and skills when preparing for the Maths GCSE.
Hooks, Lines & Thinkers - Maths is specifically for 3/4 borderline students in Years 10 and 11.
It is a two hour workshop and can be run for classroom sized groups or in seminar-style for up to 100 students. It is suitable from the start of the academic year to up to a week before major examinations.

This two hour workshop is bursting at the seams with tools and techniques to support C/D borderline students
to raise their aspirations and achievement levels. It uses a variety of memory tools and simple techniques to look at:
2 new methods of simplifying multiplication without the need for calculators
Triangles and Angles – including calculating external & internal angles
The relationship between percentages, decimals and fractions and how to convert from one to the other
Using positive and negative numbers
How to ensure you have read the question fully - and understood it!
How to break questions down and show your calculations
To help students revise for GCSE Maths exams and to empower them with innovative, memorable, creative and
effective learning tools.
To raise aspiration and achievement levels of 3/4 borderline students.
